The Caltech Distinguished Alumni Award is the highest honor the Institute bestows upon a graduate, and it is given in recognition of “a particular achievement of noteworthy value, a series of such achievements, or a career of noteworthy accomplishment.”

The Symposium is a scholarly event honoring the life and legacy of Olga Taussky-Todd, a pioneering mathematician known for her influential contributions to matrix theory, algebra, and number theory.
